  • If I won the lottery, the first thing I would do would pay off my debt as well as my wedding. The next thing I would do is build a nice house for my family and include all of the wants that we want, such as a library, an area for the kids to practice whatever sports that they are in, and have a space where Aaron can go to just relax and be by himself.

I would also buy Aaron and I good cars that wouldn’t go out or give us problems within a year of buying it. I want to be able to have a comfortable life so I would definitely set money back for savings for when Aaron and I retire.

  • In my leisure time, I tend to read or listen to books, find new books that I could read on TikTok or Instagram. I also just enjoy spending time with friends and family. It may be simple but I enjoy the simple life as much as possible.

What do you enjoy doing most in your leisure time?
  • B- Brave

I say this because there are things about me that I don’t talk about but for what those things are show the kind of person I am. I’m someone who is brave and bold and not afraid to take chances.

I’m also a person who is willing to go through fire for the people she loves, even if it’s trying to hard.

  • A – Artistic: I say this because I enjoy the any kids of arts. Painting, Music, Drawing, all of the above. I went to college for Mass Media and while in college I was able to make films with other class mates and become a sports photographer with the student ran media. That is when I fell even more in love with photography with is another way to be creative. I have drawn almost every thing that is my bullet journal. Its something to let me creative side out.

  • You know being born and raised in Kansas I never have visited the Wizard of Oz museum. Now having kids who have either seen the Wizard of Oz movie or the Wicked movie, they want to visit it as well. I think that if I do go I will have to make it a blog post about a trip with the kids. I might also make posts about the kids and what activities they are apart of as well.

Name an attraction or town close to home that you still haven’t got around to visiting.
    1. Reading – Obviously reading had to be at the top because reading takes me away from the world and all of the noises.
    2. Photography – I have always enjoyed photography whether it be in front of behind the camera. I’m always coming up with new ideas for photography shoot or just photos themselves.
    3. Playing games – It may sound weird but I enjoy playing Roblox but I also enjoy playing mobile games such as Pokemon Go, Bingo, Monopoly Go and many others.
    4. Bullet journaling – Bullet journaling has helped me keep my focus and also help focus on other things like my health and fitness as well as other goals of mine.
    5. Singing/Dancing – I always believed that singing and dancing was a way to get energy out but now it’s more than that. It a stress reliever as well as a way to get me in a good mood.

  • The main thing that comes to mind is when I walked across the stage for my college graduation from Washburn University.

The last semester of college was the hardest thing for me because I was going to school full time plus I was the sports managing editor and in a film 1 class.

The entire semester was just crazy for me. I lived off 2-3 hours of sleep a night because I was working on some sort of project or I was working on a student media story or editing.

When it was the week of graduation, I couldn’t believe myself that I had finally made it to the end to be able to call myself an Alumni.

I knew the my boyfriend (now fiancè) and his family were going to be there as well as my mom and my kids. What I didn’t expect was how loud they were going to be plus on top of it how many people cheered for me that were apart of campus.

During my last year at Washburn, I was known as the sports girl. The one who was always taking pictures at sporting games or events. I loved doing that because people would see me and would ask me to take pictures of them.

  • This past week has just been crazy, between the winter storm and school being closed and starting this blog. It’s been something.

I am trying to read plus work on my health and fitness plus trying to write at least a blog post a day. I enjoy writing and I love just being able to show people of glimpse of my life.

So let’s start with the beginning of the week. This lovely snow storm that came through Kansas last weekend hit my area pretty big. My mom and I named it snowmegeddon 2025. It started on Saturday with what was considered a blizzard and I was so worried that I prepared things around the house just in case we lost power. Aaron was at work when it started and he and his boss were determined to make it home to their families. Let me tell you, I was super anxious just know he was driving home in it. Did it take him almost an hour to get home when usually it only take him 20-30 mins.

Monday thru Tuesday I was off work due to the state of emergency due to inclement weather that was announced via the governor. I ended up working on what was my previous blog and reading books. Those days were just kind of a relaxing and stay warm kind of days. David wanted to go outside to play but the weather was WAY to cold for that.

Wednesday I had to work but David were still out of school. So that was super interesting having kids home while I was working. David and I did work on his Bible quizzing practice because he has a meet coming up soon. So to help motivate him I tell him that every question that he answers correctly during practices with me and as a group he gets a penny for each and what ever he has from the practices he gets to use at the snack shack during the meet.

Thursday was another day off for me but instead of relaxing for the day we ended up going grocery shopping. I should have taken a picture of all what I got but I do have a picture of the receipts of just from the 2 stores that we went to. When we got home we reorganized the deep freeze, the freezer, and the cabinet to make sure everything fits.

Friday was just a busy day at work and both Aaron and David had the day off, which must of been fun and nice because I could hear giggling from David. That evening we went out to dinner with my mom and both of the kids. The kids wanted Chinese food which was fine with the adults. Let me tell you I love it when the adults can be silly just to get the kids to giggle and laugh away. Aaron does this thing that the kids think is hilarious, which is when Aaron does an Australian accent and says “Crickey there’s the mother-in-law and she’s the most dangerous thing on the earth.” The kids just giggle and laugh for the entire thing.

Saturday was a relaxing day at the beginning and David decided to build a snowman (pictured below) at my mom’s house, then my mom and the kids and I decided to go to Five Below. I was able to pick up a yoga mat as well as a kettle bell to help me work out at home. I think that it is going to be a good thing. After that we all went to church and Callie colored a picture in her group and was able to tell me about it. Then we had drop off and then went home.

I do hope that this week is much better compared to last week. I think that I will be able to focus more on my goals as well as many other things. Hope you have a wonderful week as well!

    Sincerely,

    KansasMama🌻🌻🌻

  • I know with reading books there’s always a To Be Read or TBR. I have a pretty long list, but that is also with Kindle books, Apple books, and physical books.

My TBR lists are so long that I want to spare you from reading them all. Most of my books come from Stuff your Kindle events which I always find online with TikTok, Instagram, or other ways. I’m hoping to get through many of them this year but that is at least 200 books that I have gotten from Stuff your Kindle events. This year I want to just be focused on my TBR as well as books that will help me fill out my Book Bingo in my bullet journal.

If you know of any books that you think would fit under a certain category don’t hesitate to let me know. I know that there are different books but ones that I’m having trouble with are ones that are set in Kansas as well as the one that was released in 1992.
