  • Get to know me :)

         Hi! I’m new here let me tell you about myself. I’m from Kansas and I have 2 beautiful children. I’m currently engaged to the person who is not only my other half but my soulmate. I graduated from college in 2023 with a degree in Mass Media. What is Mass Media you ask? Well it’s everything that is around you. It’s movies, television, books, blogs, advertising, and so much more. I originally went to school for nursing but I took one class and that’s when I found my calling in Mass Media. In that class I was able to be creative and be myself. I was able to let my emotions out in ways that I always did just be able to find new ways to do it.

        While in college, I found my passion for photography and writing so much more than I used to be. I used to be a person who liked to be in front of the camera but now I’m someone who likes to be behind it. I was able to have experiences that I never thought I would get to have, like going to a Minnesota twins game and be apart of the press conferences before and after the game. It was just before then is when I found my passion in writing sports stories as well as sports photography. 

        After college I began to work full-time and tried to find a job that way I could have every weekend off to spend time with family and friends and also find time to read my books and write as well. I am hoping that I can use this blog to get book reviews up and telling others more about them. I want more people to realize that reading a book can help escape the bustling world of our lives and be able to imagine the story in the mind and take you there.

  • What is my mission with this blog?

    Main Mission:

    What is my mission with this blog? Well, I think of blogging as a way to express yourself on the internet. My main reason I wanted to start this blog to share my opinions of books as well has just give people a glimpse into my life and what goes on in my daily life. I have always enjoyed reading blogs and I thought you know what I talk enough so why not just take all my thoughts out and put them into a blog.

    Side Missions:

    • Side Mission #1

    I mentioned how I want to share books with you that I read this year. I used to read at least 30 books a year but I recently started reading again. I wanted to jot my feelings down about book and rate them for you. I bet there are many blogs out there that write about books but I love to write as well as read. I want to show people that yes I may be a mom of 2 but I also have time to just sit down and read a book.

    • Side Mission #2

    I also want to share my journey with you about my weight loss. I get that many people probably don’t want to hear about it but for me writing about it makes me feel much more accountable. Growing up I had it rough because I was always the girl who got picked on for her weight. Heck I still do but now it’s just by adults. Well, I want to take you on a journey with me to not only lose weight but to get healthy as well.

    • Side Mission #3

    Another thing that I want to do is give more information about Autism. I want people to see what it is like to be a child or even a person with Autism. I believe that people just think that autism is looked at like people are like that just to act out, but in all reality there is so much more to it. One thing I want to do is give a voice to my son about what he goes through and what he wants to do with his life.

    • Side Mission #4

    I also want to do something that is not so talked about which is mental health. Mental health is a big thing for me because all my life I struggled with anxiety, depression and many other problems. I want to be able to show people that having issues like that is ok. I try to tell people that it makes me who I am and I hope to be a person that people can come to in a time of need.

    Why do I choose blogging?

    I chose to blog like I said because it helps me get away from what is going on inside my brain and it also helps others know that they aren’t alone and that there are people out there like them. I know that there are some people who think there aren’t friendly people out there and I want to be able to show them that there are.
